DFOA

About the DFOA

The Dallas Football Officials Association (DFOA) is one of the largest and premier chapters of football officials in Texas and the United States. With approximately 700 members who officiate football not only in the Dallas & Ft. Worth surrounding areas but also throughout the State of Texas. The DFOA is comprised of new officials to experienced veterans with 50+ years of service and many in-between.

We are a chapter in the Texas Association of Sport Officials (TASO), which is the UIL recognized officiating organization providing officials for middle and high school football contests throughout the state of Texas. TASO works directly with the University Interscholastic League (UIL), the governing body of public schools in Texas, as well as the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), the largest organization of private schools in Texas to provide experienced and trained officials for their football contests.

Each year, the DFOA makes agreements with local schools and districts to provide football officials for their varsity and sub-varsity football games. Our chapter typically has  6,000+ officiating game assignments starting with scrimmages then week one of the season and all the way to through the UIL & TAPPS Championship games at the end of the season.
