Privacy Policy General

The DFOA web site is provided as a service to our members and our guests. We do not attempt to capture or solicit any personal information as part of your visit to this site.

What personally identifiable information is collected and how is it used?

Absolutely no personally identifiable information is collected by the DFOA web site.

What navigational information is collected and how is it used?

The DFOA web site collects no navigational information.

Cookies, what are they and how are they used?

Cookies are bits of electronic information that a web site can transfer to a visitor's hard drive to help tailor and keep records of his or her visit to the site. Cookies allow web site operators to better customize visits to the site to the visitor's individual preferences. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet and many major web sites use them. Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can usually change your browser to prevent or notify you whenever you are sent a cookie. This gives you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. The "cookie" itself does not tell us who you are, your email address or anything else personal. Even though a user chooses not to accept a cookie, he or she will still be able to access all sections of the web site. We only use cookies when a member logs in to the web site and selects the box on the login screen that says "Remember me?". In this case a cookie is written to the user's hard drive to indicate that each time the user attempts to log in, his or her user id and password will automatically be placed into those fields in the login screen, thus saving the user keystrokes.
